The leadership of the People Democratic Party, PDP in Aboh Mbaise led by its chairman Nze Anselem Ikwu and the secretary Hon Irechukwu and other LGA executive were at Nguru Nweke ward on Friday 22nd of November 2013 to inaugurate about 90 members of the party in the ward as grassroots leaders of the party to handle the affairs of the party and ensure victory for PDP at the ward at all times.
Speaking at the occasion, the PDP Chairman for Aboh Mbaise LGA, Nze Ikwu noted that come 2015, PDP will take over the leadership at the Government House stressing that Okorocha’s government has ruined the economy of the state. He regretted that Okorocha who has been giving all contracts to one company owned by foreigners have succeeded in encouraging capital flight as money that would have been reinjected into Imo Economy are ferried away thereby destroying the economy of Imo State.
The indefatigable chairman noted the deceit of the government in education stressing that the free dedication and free textbooks promised by Owelle Rochas to students are nothing but the more you look the less you see. He pointed out that students have been rendered incapacitated and confused as the books promised them are nowhere to be found.
Nze Ikwu regretted the showmanship of Okorocha in building schools and other projects without out considering the populations of students or the primary needs of the people who are meant to use the facilities. He stated that any project that has no direct positive impact on a people is just a selfish and self serving show of ego by Owelle Okorocha.
Nze Ikwu also hammered on the destruction of the 3rd tier of government, the LGAs by Okorocha’s government with the incessant manipulations and swerving of the DAGs which has created more confusion in the LGAs. The disillusionment of civil servants in Imo caused by the governor’s hate for due process, the PDP chair noted has been the bane of Imo in the past two years as contracts are abandoned for non payment to contractors which in effect keeps the citizens of Imo impoverished with sub standard roads scattered round the state.
The PDP Chairman Nze Ikwu thanked Rt Hon Ihedioha for the support he has been rendering to PDP in Imo State called on the newly inaugurated leaders in Nguru Nweke ward and the party executive to enlighten the people at the grassroots why they should jettison Okorocha’s government and continue to support the PDP for a positive and pragmatic development of Imo state.
Some of the leaders inaugurated include Engr Ibeto Callistus, Comrd. Ohanele Casmir, Lolo Ngozi Ndu, Ugochukwu Victor, Onwumere Remiguis, Udoegbule Ohaeri.
