Efugh Set For Enyimba
Heartland fc of Owerri Captain, Chinedu Efugh is set to join arch rivals Enyimba fc of Aba ahead of their next year’s CAF Champions League campaign.
A close associate of the hard tackling defender revealed that talks are going on between Efugh and Enyimba over a possible move by the former Rangers International skipper.
Efugh who led the Naze-Millionairse to a back-to-back Federation cup and Charity win between 2011 2013 remains one of the most consistent defenders in the Nigerian domestic league.
Commenting on the move, the source who is a close ally to Chicago said “It is almost certain that Chicago will join Enyimba. They have been talking and it has reached advanced level, hopefully, he will sign soon” the source informed.
Chinedu is an experienced campaigner who could play as a central defender or defensive midfielder. He has played Mighty Jets of Jos as well as Enugu Rangers were he joined Heartland from.
Two-time African champions Enyimba are heading back to continental football after a two-year absence and so will need formidable players like Efugh.

…Admonishes Eziama-Obaire Youths to Embrace Sports
The Imo State Commissioner for Lands Comrade Uche Nwosu has been praised for his efforts in the development of grass root football commending him also for empowering the youths of Eziama-Obaire.
Making the commendation at the unveiling ceremony of the Eziama-Obaire Unity Football Competition sponsored by Ugumba Eziama-Obaire, ex-international and the current assistant coach of the victorious Golden Eaglets Emmanuel Amuneke hailed the commissioner for his magnanimity to his people stating that the competition will go a long way to help in the reduction of crime.
The Eziobodo born football tactician who was made the Technical Adviser to the Competition said that the tournament apart from helping to discover talents will also empower the youths of Eziama-Obaire. He therefore admonished the people of the area to embrace sports as it will help to bring development with all honesty while urging the players to stay focused and discipline in other to reach the feet of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Imo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Comrade Kenneth Emelu has been commended for his second missionary journey in the Ministry by the National Youth Council of Nigeria Imo State Chapter.
In a statement released by the state chairman of the apex youth body, Comrade Izdor Chukwemeka, the back-to-back commissioner was described as a the one man that will restore the pride of sports to its original position while thanking His Excellency Owell Rochas Okorocha for finding Emelu worthy to complete the good work he started in 2011.
The Youth leader also used the same medium to salute the victorious Golden Eaglets who won a record fourth FIFA U-17 World Cup in United Arab Emirate stating that the young lads are truly worthy youth ambassadors especially the quartet from Imo state, Kelechi Iheanacho, Nwakali Chidiebere, Chidera Ezeh and Uzohuo Francis as well as their assistant gaffer Emmanuel Amuneke who all flew the Eastern Heartland flag well.
He however noted that the reappointment of Emelu back to the youth and sports ministry is a divine one and will rekindle the rehabilitation of sports generally in the state as well as moving NYCN forward in the state.
