Imo Youths Set To Improve The State Fortune ..Holds Summit 22nd November

The annual Imo Youth Summit, organized by “Let Us Do It Ourselves Movement” a coalition of Youth Groups and Progressives in Imo State, will hold on November 22nd, 2013, at Rosy Arts Theatre, Tkenegbu, Owerri, by 12noon prompt.
According to the Chairman Summit Planning Committee, Engr. Norbert Okey Osonwa, the summit involves youth delegates from all the electoral wards of Imo State to brainstorm on ways to improve governance and for solving the socio-economic, political incompetence among public office holders, unemployment, poverty and poor healthcare delivery, lack of electricity, access road and lack of water in rural areas in the State to be able to forge ahead, urging the media to help surmount these challenges.
Engr. Osonwa further stated that there will also be a pre-summit convention on Tuesday 19th November, 2013, at Uzii hall, Uzii Mission compound by 12noon prompt. He added, the pre-summit convention, the youth delegates will begin deliberations on the aforementioned bothering issues and hence set the pace for the proper summit.
Dr. Harold Wilson Onumo, Dr. Emma Anyanwu, other stakeholders of Lets Do Ourselves Movement emphasized that the summit is aimed at enthrong in good governance in Imo State, where egalitarian society will be entrenched, reducing the economic, political malfeasance and aggrandizement among privileged persons which they said have been the bane of underdevelopment of the state and the country in general.
The Special Guest of the summit will be His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, guest Speaker, Hon. Captain E. Iheanacho, Prof. Jude E. Njoku, while Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives will deliver the keynote speech on the summit. While the chief host will be His Excellency, Owelle Anaya Rochas Okorocha, the executive governor of Imo State. The summit welcomes all well meaning Imo sons and daughters to the memorable state discourse.
