Imo state government has been lashed/cautioned over its executive lawlessness and recklessness against the constitution of the country. This caution was handed down by the South – East Chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) Rt. (Col) Austin Akobundu, who paid a solidarity visit to the Imo state chapter of the party over theAppeal Courtvictory of the 27 Council Chairmen against the State government.
Addressing PDP faithfuls, Col. Akobundu, revealed that his visit is just most deserving solidarity for theAppeal Courtvictory. He also described the APGA led government in Imo as an extremely lawless administration.
The retired Colonel wondered why a governor who benefited from the constitution will disrespected the constitution to dissolve a democratically elected council government. Even after being reminded by the constitution of the illegality of his action at the Appeal Court, he is still bent of challenging the constitution at the Supreme Court, with tax payers money, “Gov. Okorocha should learn to abide by the apex law of the country as amended in 1999 which gives and controls executive powers, let it be done on him that might is not always right” he advice.
However, he commanded the LG Chairmen and the state PDP and the State PDP for being law abiding against all provocations, as he assured them that they will be restored within the arm bit of time.
He finally advised the State Chapter of the party to concentrate on reconciliation of all warring faction and aggrieved members for the challenges ahead, citing theAppeal Courtvictory as a moral boaster.
