Oparanadim Leaders Resist Plans To Rename Community

Attempts by some elements in Oparanadim ancient Kingdom in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA to cause crisis in the area for personal gain have been uncovered.
The ploy allegedly came to lime light recently when some group of persons in the area forwarded “Eziama” as an Autonomous Community to the Eze Ohiri led committee against what was obtainable.
However, when the Eze elect, Louis Maduako Nwokeke and other contestants were confronted at Ahiajioku convention centre last week, they made it clear that Eziama has never been an Autonomous Community even as further clarifications were not entertained by Eze Ohiri as he held tenaciously to what was given in print.
Meanwhile report has it that Oparanadim has three component towns before two out of three were carved out to form Autonomous Communities respectively, while Eziama retained the Oparanadim status.
Speaking to Trumpeta, the Secretary General, Engr. Alex Iheanacho Nwaigwe observed that for the committee to treat Eziama as an Autonomous Community was the highpoint of deception on the part of those who forwarded the name.
He further advised those behind the plot to accept peace as the last option and come together for a better future.
On his part, the Eze elect and Dim IV of Oparanadim Autonomous Community, Louis Maduako Nwokeke pointed out that his subjects are peace loving people, adding that anything less than what was acceptable would not be welcomed.
He expressed confidence in the administration of Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Eze Imo HRH Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri, praying that his certificate of recognition and staff of office be given him in order to commence full business.
