The Stakeholders of All Progressive Congress in Amiri ward 11, Oru East Local Government Area, Imo State have enjoined the masses on effective support to the party. They made this call on Sunday, 20th October, 2013 at Barr. Chief Bill Nwakamma’s house, Umuduru Amiri.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, the host, Mr Bill-Nwakamma Onweagbe stated that APC has set up modalities to better the Igbo race, stressing that with the emergence of the party, there will be adequate and responsive free, fair and creditable representation. Barr Bill further added that the meeting was organized to educate and enlighten the youths on the importance of joining the moving train without being mislead by in any other political party.
He commented that APC as far as the Governor Okorocha is concerned has come to stay in Imo State as it is poised to bring democracy to the populace.
Similarly, Hon Barr Nelson Ezerioha added that APC as a political party meant well for Imolites and Nigerians at large, pointing out that for the past years of leadership of PDP, they have not benefited in any way. He highlighted the numerous achievement of Governor Rochas Okorocha who out of his love for the Igbo race propounded the formation of APC. He urged well meaning Imolites to support the party for the betterment of all.
The leadership of APC in Amiri further beckoned on the youths to be coherent in all they do so as elevate the noble party to a greater height.
