South – East Agro – Input Dealers Association Inaugurates Imo – state Chapter

Members of Agro – Input dealers Association South – East zone inaugurated the Imo state Agro – input dealers Association, Imo state Chapter last Friday at the villa – Marie hall in Owerri Imo state.

Speaking, the Imo state coordinator Mr. Tony Abarah told participants to be members of the Agro – input dealers Association by registering of their names and company name, he added that only members of the Association benefits from the Federal Government Agro – Input Scheme in which, Imo state and the South – East as a whole have been marginalized over the years.

Also speaking at the inaugurated, the president of the Agro – Input dealers Association South – East zone and president of Agro – Input dealers association Enugu Mr. Moses Onuoha  gave insight on how the South – East have been marginalized where by the Northerners sells Agro – products belonging to the South – East and South – South.  In his own words the South – South and South – East are seen as non practicing farmers, noting that the Federal Government issues agro – product based on the Agricultural calendar of the North, which makes Agro – Inputs from the Federal Government or the Ministry of Agriculture arrive at the time when the South – East must have finished Harvesting their crops.

Speaking also, the Vice president of Enugu Mr. Egba Romanus and the Abia state coordinator Mr. Nwaodo Celestine gave the importance of the association pointing out that the training and workshop its Members will enable them to be equipping because dealing with Agro – Input is risky.

During an interactive section, intending participants praised the executives for their giant step towards their good intension for the Agro – input dealers in the state and South – East as a whole and prayed for the association to live up to its expectations as problems facing both farmers and dealers were ironed out.
