Ik Ogbonna Emerges NIPR Imo Chapter Secretary

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Imo State Chapter has elected a new set of executive members. At an election conducted at the Image House, the secretariat of the institute, the Protem Chairman and Council Member, Chief John Nnabuihe announced that Mr. Charles Nwankwo emerged Chairman, Mrs. Tessy Don-Oguzie Vice Chairman, Mr. Ik Ogbonna Secretary, Mr. Austine Ngharamike, Assistant Secretary, Mrs. Chinwe Nze Treasurer, Miss Queen Nnadi Financial Secretary and Mr. Noel Akor Public Relations Officer.
Justice Nnadi, a representative of the Chief Judge of Imo State (Justice Benjamin Njemanze) swore-in the elected officers and encouraged them to abide by the constitution of the institute and to project a positive image for the state and nation. Pastor Onyema Ubaka, FNIPR, gave a vote of thanks to the eminent jurist thanking him for his kind words and advise to the institute and assured him that they shall live up to expectation.
Mr. Charles Nwankwo on behalf of the executives thanked the members of the institute for their vote of confidence in electing them and assured that the confidence would not be betrayed. He said the mission of his executives would be unveiled at the next general meeting but asserted that the image of NIPR in Imo state shall be taken to greater heights under his tenure. Other members of the institute present include Prince Ford Ozumba FNIPR, Akor Njemanze, FNIPR, Sunny Osuji, FNIPR (the immediate past chairman), Dr. Chuks Osuji, FNIP, who served as Electoral Officer.
IK Ogbonna is an Owerri based journalist and media consultant and was Director of Media and Publicity in the Goodluck/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organization, Imo State. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology, a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Sociology and a Post-
