Major Al-Mustapha has expressed happiness over the warm reception given to him and his team by Imo People last weekend In Mbaise.
Speaking, the traditional rulers of Mbaise led by HRH Eze Mike Abii, HRH Eze Reginald Amadi, HRH Eze Nwokocha (Umara) and HRH Eze Nwaturuocha, commended the resilence and patriotic spirit of the Maj Al-Mustapha, Chief Uwazuruike and Asari Dokubo.
Abii thanked God for saving the lives of Maj Mustapha and others noting that God has prepared them to work for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria.
Important personalities that spoke include; Hon Sam Daddy Anyanwu, a Senatorial Aspirant and Chief Batos Nwadike, a former presidential candidate of Peoples Mandate Party. In their separate speeches, Hon Sam Daddy Anyanwu promised to ensure that the peace and unity that the August visitors are preaching will be supported. Chief Batos went memory lane to say, ‘enough is enough’ for oppressors in Nigeria, stressing that no body will be allowed to cause confusion for selfish reasons using divide and rule.
Responding, Mohammed Abacha thanked the teaming population that came to welcome them noting that it is a sign that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable. He stated that he has friends in Imo State that he cherishes.
Asari Dokubo added that the struggle for emancipation of the oppressed in Nigeria is a must. He said he has Igbo spirit in him and stressed that the peace and unity of new Nigeria is what they are canvassing.
The Ijele Igboland Chief Raph Uwazuruike thanked Ndi Igbo for their support saying that what they have come to show is that all forces that are fighting for a new Nigeria are on one page.
Al-Mustapha who could not hold his excitement greeted the people with Igbo language. He thanked the Ezes, the politicians, women groups, the various youth organizations for showing him and his team great love. He said that their host, Agbara Ahuru gbuo Okuku of Igboland, Chief Okoro is a reliable friend of his whose advice and encouragement have remained valuable to him. Al-Mustapha, said never again will politicians deceive the young people through ethnic divide. He called on all Nigerians to support the agenda for true new Nigeria through peace unity and patriotism. He thanked the news Editor Trumpeta, Ohanele Casca for his many write-ups in the media that seek for his release while he was incarcerated.
The host, Chief Ugochuwku Okoro, Agbara called Al-Mustapha many names like Mr intelligent, Dogged, calculative and friendly, whose contributions to the development of Nigeria is priceless.
