The South East Youth Forum (SEYF), a body that consists of the South Eastern states of Nigeria, such as Imo, Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi and Anambra have pledged their support for Owelle Rochas Okorocha, the Governor of Imo state.
The National coordinator of South East Youth Forum, Comrade Uche Alisigwe in his speech during the courtesy visit of the South East Forum Executive members to Bar Sunny Chuks Ukabam held on 30th August, 2013 at Bar Ukabams Akaeme country home at Uno An-Ndiuogu disclosed the body’s support.
Comrade Uche Alisigwe also stated that the South East Youth forum is the a brain child of all the South Eastern youth under one umbrella. He added that the body has over 32,000 members. He described it as the Apex youth body in the South Eastern states of Nigeria.
Comrade Alisigwe further reiterated the desire of the body to acquaint with Bar. Ukabam borne out of his numerous contributions to the youths and the community. He further expressed his displeasure for the marginalization of South East youth,.
Bar Ukabam appreciated the youths for their visit. He added that he was very delighted that the youths who represent the future of our country deemed it fit to pay him a courtesy call in acknowledgement of his humble contribution toward emancipation of our people from the claws of poverty, hardship and marginalization. He further stated that their visit afforded him an opportunity to express some of his thoughts on some of prevailing national issues and happening in Nigeria and part of South Eastern Nigeria in particular Imo state.
Bar, Ukabam stated he was particularly proud that the Governor of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is a staunch progressive. He commended INEC for the courage exhibited in the registration of APC as a political party and called on fellow South Eastern to unite and embrace the party.
