The Imo State LGA Supervisory Councilors Forum, an Umbrella body that shelters the 27 supervisors in the state, who were dissolved by the state government, has described as undemocratic, the reluctance of Governor Okorocha in obeying the rule of law.
Speaking to Trumpeta at the end of their emergency meeting in Owerri, the publicity sectary of the Forum, Hon George Onwukwe noted that Imo state would run into comatose if the governor continues in his style of governance, which he described as alien to democracy.
He further pointed out that based on the refusal of the Chief executive to work in accordance with the dictates of the law, the supervisors deemed it expedient to come together in order to pusure their cause with a common interest.
Hon Onwukwe maintained that they were legally appointed by the immediate past government adding that Gov Okorocha has no justification to relieve them of their jobs.
He also noted that the present administration in the state has failed to leave up to its campaign promise, stressing that former governor Ikedi Ohakim left legacies that will speak for him in years to come.
He described the two years in office of the present government as a waste, adding that Gov Okorocha cannot boast of any meaningful achievement since he became governor.
Hon Onwukwe however maintained that Imo people have seen the true actor of politics, adding that the day of reckoning would come soon.
