The second quarterly constituency briefing of Hon Nnanna Igbokwe, member Representing Ahiazu Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives took place midweek at Central School Ogwuama Ahiazu in Ahiazu Local Government Area.
The Occasion witnessed a large turnout of constituents, PDP Leaders and faithfuls in the Federal Constituency and beyond. Speaking on the occasion while unveiling empowerment facilities/equipment, the Deputy speaker, House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, extolled the sterling qualities of Chief Igbokwe and his brilliant performance in the legislative activities of the House of Representatives, stating that Chief Igbokwe is an epitome of good representation. The Deputy Speaker congratulated Chief Igbokwe for making empowerment of his constituents a priority and called on the people to continue to pray and support him. Speaking, Igbokwe thanked his teaming supporters for their support and prayers during the 2011 general election, the 10 court cases brought against him and the re-run election. Despite these distractions according to him, he was able to attract motorized water schemes and solar street light to twelve communities and N500 million projects in 2012 and 2013 Federal Budgets to his constituency. These include the electrification project for the redesign of High tension line in Lude/Obohia areas, the N15, million water scheme at Amumara Market square and the N40, million electricity project at Nnarambia with 40 KVA transformer
In Education, he has awarded well over 150 scholarships and facilitated the construction of 3 classroom blocks as four community primary schools in the Federal Constituency. The law make?’ said he was able to move ten bills and 15 motions in the House of Reps.
Two vehicles, 40 motorcycles, 30 hair dressing machines, 40 generating sets with handsets, tables, chairs, Umbrellas, for phone call business, 40 motorized grinding machines and 15 deep freezers were distributed as empowerment facilities to his constituents.
