The Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had in his maiden broadcast to the people of the state dissolved the 27 LGA supervisors. The Appeal court had that reinstated the LGA Chairmen and their supervisors an order, the governor is yet to obey.
Speaking to Trumpeta at the end of the meeting, leader of the forum, Hon Ernest Iwuji stated that they are confident that they would win in court, adding that soon the truth about the happenings in the state will be unveiled.
He described their sack as unjustified and undemocratic, adding that they were legally appointed by the last administration to assist the LGA Chairmen in turning the local government administration around.
Hon. Iwuji further maintained that their on-going matter with the governor would be coming up on the 4th of October, 2013 and advised his colleagues to remain calm as they would smile again.
He also noted that the forum is not funded by any politician or party, stressing that they are operating on a neutral ground, while urging well meaning individuals who many wish to identify with them to do so without delay.
