The Owerri Senatorial Seat ambition of Hon Samuel Anyanwu (Sam Daddy) the rankling member representing Ikeduru state constituency received a boost recently when the leadership, of the conference of Nigerian political parties (CNPP) Imo state paid him a courtesy visit in Owerri to identify with his Senatorial ambition for 2015.
Leading the group, Barr C.S Osuji, KSC the state Chairman of labour party extolled the qualities of Hon Sam Daddy whose representation at the Imo state House of Assembly stands him out as the darling of all political parties in Imo state. CNPP commended the people oriented bills sponsored at the Imo House of Assembly by Hon Sam Daddy and his laudable programmes and achievements when he was the Ikeduru LGA Chairman and noted that they are eloquent testimony that given higher responsibilities at the red chambers, he will perform.
In his remarks of welcome to the member of CNPP, Hon Sam Daddy, thanked them for finding him worthy for the visit.
The member representing Ikeduru state constituency said he sees the entire Imo people as his constituency and that is why he has the passion to ensure that good laws are made at the House of Assembly. He added that his activities since he joined politics is stemmed on his believe that the people deserve the best and must be given nothing but the best.
The dynamic politician who is a friend of the media stressed that he remains a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP under which umbrella he wish to vie for the senate. “I am a strong member of PDP with the interest to run for the senate to represent Owerri zone. I have the intellect, the prowess, experience, determination, humility and zeal to serve the new generation with loyalty to elders vision for the youths and solidarity with women empowerment.
While reacting to some question from the members of CNPP otherwise known as Interparty Advisory Council IPAC, concerning the controversy of tenure of LGA executive, Hon Sam Daddy said the House passed a three year tenure but pointed that he was not party to anytime it was reduced to two year tenure.
Thanking Hon Sam Daddy for his warm welcome the spokesperson of CNPP and Chairman of United Democratic Party in Imo, Mazi Elias CVhukwuemeka assured that all political parties in Imo will work in unism to ensure he gets into the red chamber. The Chairman of Alliance for Democratic Prof Akuchie commended the intelligence and humility of Hon Sam Daddy and promised to do all to market his ambition.
CNPP unanimously adopted the aspiration of Hon Sam Daddy as their project. Those at the meeting include: Dr Chijioke Mike (NNPP) Hon Collins Eken (MPPP) Mr Hyginus Maduako (PDC) Chris Okorooji (ACD) thank God (Accord Party) Amobi Mere (KOWA) the Ikeduru LGA coordinators of Hon Sam Daddy Senatorial Aspiration, Chief George Ohanyere, Mrs Bridget Duru. Others include Mr Jude Opara and Kelechi aides to the senatorial aspirant.
