Mbaise Nation Explodes We Want The Seat Not Okorocha

As the 2015 general election approaches, the Mbaise Nation under the auspicious of Mbaise Forum has continued to strategies on their resolved agreement to produce the next governor of Imo state. They also stated it categorically clear through the national president of the Dr Ikay Njoku that “We are not after or against Governor Rochas Okorocha, what we want is his seat come 2015 nothing less”
The forum over the weekend inaugurated a ninety (90) man central/sub committees for the December 2013 official launching of the Forum (Mbaise Forum) / Mbaise summit with the theme “Let’s Reason Together”. The summit will be used to further sensitize the people of Mbaise, other areas in Owerri zone and people of Okigwe and Orlu zones on the need to support and work toward the actualization of Mbaise for governor project.
The president also averred that the “lets Reason Together summit will also be targeted at building bridges of partnership across the Mbaise Nation and people from other areas and zones.
Explaining further, the Forum submitted that there are thousand and one reasons for their resolution which they say will reshape the state for the better, economically, politically and socially. They maintain that they have paid their dues in the development peace and unity of the state, through selfless and patriotic services either as Deputy Governor, Commissioner or other political appointments.
They also disclosed that, their quest is not out of proportion but the fact that they have very capable tested and reliable candidates for the Governorship seat, who will effect the lives of Imo people positively.
However, they did not disparage the efforts of the present governor nor his predecessors but holds that a governor of Mbaise extract will be the best thing that will happen to Imo state economy and politics.
The inauguration which took place at the Hilman Hotel Afor Oru Mbaise on the 18th July 2013 was well attended by politician, leader, youths, men and women of Mbaise extraction, predicting their readiness to wrestle power out of whoever.
