The Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB has been lamenting over the way and manner its members have been disappearing, alleging that either they are being arrested or they have gone into hiding for fear of being apprehended by Nigeria Security Operatives.
A spokesman of MASSOB who spoke to the press said that the Federal Government of Nigeria has intensified its clamp down on MASSOB members necessitating many of their members going into hiding to avoid arrests.
Among those yet to be accounted for by the organization include Godwin Osuagwu, Martins Nwadike, Opara Augustine, Eustace Amaechi, and others who have not been seen since MASSOB had its rally on April 19, 2013 at Onitsha, Anambra State.
The MASSOB spokesman said that no matter intimidation from any quarters the organization will not stop its agitation until their demands were met, adding that MASSOB was not violent, and wondered why security agencies are after their members.
