Over fifteen members of Owerri Peoples Front (OPF) have been inaugurated as leaders and coordinators in Ngor Okpala LGA to pilot the affairs of the group to effect developmental changes in the area.
Inaugurating the executives at the weekend, at Umuneke Ngor, Ngor Okpala LGA, the National President of OPF, Hon. Ebere Chukwuemeka, charged them to be upright and active while discharging their responsibilities assigned to them to achieve goal.
Hon. Chukwuemeka reminded OPF members to work collectively and strongly to be able to eliminate the age-long political marginalization of Owerri zone by Orlu and Okigwe zones. He however encouraged OPF and the entire Owerri zone not to relent in the course to reclaim their political rights in Imo State, stating that maximum respect be accorded to Owerri zone elders to succeed.
In his speech, Hon. Tony Nkwocha, OPF leader in Ngor Okpala appealed to the Imo State government to remember Ngor Okpala in the scheme of things. He cried out that Ngor Okpala had a fair share of infrastructural projects since his present administration came on board. He warned that if the people continuer to suffer, it would rather rejoin their kith and kiths in Etche, Rivers State. He charged the newly inaugurated excos to work in unity.
