MBAITOLI MAKES IMO LEAGUE SEMI – FINAL.


 

Mbaitoli Local Government Area has made it to the semi – final round of the on – going Imo League football tournament.

In the first quarter final match of the competition played on Tuesday 12th June at Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri, the boys from Mbaitoli who are powered by the prioprietor of Elemats of Ubomiri, Engr. Osita Anyanwu were very impressive right from the start of the first half and were duely rewarded in the 25th minute of play when Emman Ede headed home a well taking freekick for the only goal of the match against a very good Ahiazu Mbaise whom most of their players make up the Imo state FA Cup finalist Mbaise Lions.

Speaking after the game, Engr Anyanwu expressed his happiness on his lads performance promising that the management of elements FC will continue to support the Mbaitoli LGA team in the Imo League.

He continued by urging the TC Chairman of the LGA Barr Emma Iheanakwe not to relent in his efforts of promoting the team until their objectives of lifting the trophy is achieved.

Similarly, the Chief of Staff to the TC chairman Mr. Nwosu Chiagozie also commended his lads for showing good composure especially during the second half of the game adding that his boss Bar Iheanakwe has prepared a good package for the young boys if they can win the most celebrated league inImoState.

Osita assured that with the presence of his players (Elemats FC) who are indegines of Mbaitoli, the team will not disappoint in getting the trophy.

Speaking to Imo Trumpeta Sports chief, The Chairman of the league Local Organizing Committee, Mr Raymond Ebede commended the two teams for exhibiting the type of quality of game that Premier League teams are known for. He reteriated the efforts of Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo, to take the league special stars into the Big league of World football as contacts has been made with big teams both at home and abroad.
