The last has not been heard of the incident at Umuaghara Otulu, in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, where a woman, Mrs Dike, whose husband is alive, claimed to be widow in order to win a two Bed-room Bungalow from the pet project of the wife of the Governor, Mrs Nneoma Okorocha, called “She Needs A Roof Project” SNARP.
According to Trumpeta, the people of Ahiazu Mbaise State Constituency are mobilizing for signatures in preparation of recall process against, Hon Mrs Adaku Ihuoma, representing the area in the Imo House of Assembly.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the Council Area, Chief Cletus Onwuegbule has confirmed that Mrs Ihuoma is a bonafide member of the party in the LGA and not PDP.
Trumpeta learnt that the recall plot against Mrs Ihuoma, was necessitated by the alleged role she played in the drama at Umuaghara Otulu, where Mrs Dike deceived the wife of the Governor, and won a bungalow, when the Houses were meant for indigent widows.
However, Mrs Ihuoma in a Press Release in Owerri denied having a hand in the Otulu drama, as she has nothing to do with allocation of houses to indigent women by SNARP, and was at the ceremony as the representative of Ahiazu Mbaise Constituency.
But sources told Trumpeta that Hon Ihuoma, who hails from Otulu, could not deny being privy that the wife of the Governor was building a bungalow for a woman in her community, until the day of hand-over, even as she is the people’s representative, and ought to know the identity of the “widow”.
The sources said that, if so, it means that Hon Ihuoma does not know the identity of those in her immediate Community, and therefore does not qualify to be representing the whole of Ahiazu Mbaise in the House of Assembly, hence the plot now to recall her.
“Let us assume that she does not know Mrs Dike, even that she is not a widow. If she does not know a woman with seven children in her community, how can such a person continue to represent Ahiazu Mbaise in the House of Assembly? It means she is a stranger”, a source told Trumpeta.
Trumpeta learnt that Ihuoma, whose term has been dogged with controversies, is said to not worth to remain in the Legislature a day longer.
A meeting to commence her recall process was held last Sunday, at Owerri residence of a prominent politician from Mbaise Clan, who has elected to bankroll the recall process which would gulp millions of naira.
The process of collecting signatures kick-started immediately, with those present at the meeting endorsing their signatures, to signal the project expected to last weeks.
Mr Dike, whose wife acted as a widow while he is still alive, has vowed to disown the House and the wife, but sources said the man could not have been ignorant, since he was the one organizing fetching of water for molding blocks and erecting the House.
Meanwhile, Hon Ihuoma has vehemently denied involvement in the whole saga saying she should not “be held accountable for an action of a person whose identity was not disclosed to her in the course of verification exercise, adding that her presence at Umuaghara Otulu village was basically on the invitation extended to her by the Excellency just as other Lawmakers and does not know about the House” her media man said.
