Why I was rated best performing TC Chairman – Uche Eze

By Samuel Ibezim

The Okigwe Transition Committee Chairman, Hon Uche John, has explained he was rated the best performing TC Chairman in the State.

Eze who spoke to newsmen in Owerri, said he is the best because the massive projects he has embarked on in his Local Government.

“I know as the TC Chairman, I don’t want to compare myself with who had been there in the past, but I know that if given the opportunity, I will be proud to say that I am the best performing Chairman of the 27 local governments in the State and I stand to be challenged.  Is it in terms of physical infrastructures that are on going in the area? In fact, I know that I am following the foot steps of my master, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.  I don’t know the parameter with which the lawmakers used in rating us, but I know that if you rate me from the parameter of another school of thought, I will be rated as the best performing TC Chairman”.

Hon. Eze said that Okigwe has witnessed a lot of transformation since the inception of Gov. Rochas Okorocha.  “The old adage of Orlu and Okigwe been the only cities that have not developed is now in the archives because the Governor has done much to improve infrastructure in these cities”.

He pointed out that Okigwe has projects such dualisation of roads, construction of a new general hospital, over 40 kilometer of roads under construction and the renovation of Okigwe stadium among other laudable projects.  Hon Eze described Gov. Owelle Rochas as a workaholic and committed Governor that is in a haste to take Imo state to the Promised Land.
