A four – week seminar on ICT empowerment organized by Pick and Green Nigeria Limited, an international organization with head office inLagosis taking place at Crunches Fast food in Owerri.
Speaking to journalists on the occasion, the Consultant of the Company, Mr. Thomas Jide revealed that the company is into the event of planning explaining that it is in the business to empower youths to be independent having had the seminar in twenty one states of the Federation.
Mr. Jide maintained that people from other states do testify on how they market themselves in designing website, printing recharge card, computer literacy, dismantling computers, hardware containing website which had already been designed adding that the company tries to ensure that everyone knows about computer.
The consultant said the company gives out computers at twenty thousand naira (20,000) and advised the participants to go and practicalize what they learnt, maintaining that the seminar is free while the handout and compact disc cost some money.
He explained that the seminar helps to curb youths restiveness as young people are empowered to be independent and busy.
Also speaking to journalists, one of the participants, Mrs Ijeoma Anele of Imo State Bureau for Poverty Alleviation expressed delight that the training which is practical – oriented has added value to her life disclosing that she wants to dive into new things and called on jobless youths to participate in the seminar.
Another participant, Mr. Bony Oguike, a business man said he came to have some knowledge on website in order to inform other people about it.
Meanwhile, Crunches Fast Food has been lauded for rendering high quality services to its customers.
