But not police. Just on Tuesday, May 29, the traffic alongBank Road, Owerri was jam packed due to heavy rain pour that took place earlier that morning.
So, while the traffic wardens “Yellow Fever” were battling to control the chaotic situation, a police patrol van coming from Government House, Owerri, went on the opposite direction, against the traffic.
And what was the result? A gridlock for hours. Every plea from responsible Nigerians for the two policemen in the vehicle to go back for the traffic to start flowing hit deaf ears.
In fact, they threatened to shoot who ever “insulted” them. It is very unfortunate. And worse still, the incident took place on “Democracy day”. Nawa for police o!
