IMTA Advocates For Good Governance

A non-governmental pressure group known as Imo Transformation Assembly (IMTA) has stated its readiness and commitment in transforming the society through the conduct of policy and affairs of the state for the general interest of the common man.

IMTA which is identified by the motto “transformation for good governance” having a grasp of the myriad of challenges that has engulfed Imo state owing to bad leadership which gave birth to the problems that has rocked the entire society and now requires radical measures to address.

Speaking with newsmen at IMTA state secretariat complex at No 30 Mbari street Ikenegbu Layout Owerri, Hon Chief Chima Onwukwe stated that IMTA has a great enthusiasm to transform Imo to an enviable position by leading Imolites from low ebb to acme.

He further stated that, the well being and general interest of the ordinary man is the cardinal objective of the group noting that Imolites and Nigeria can only get it right  if good leadership takes place adding that for good leadership to take place, we must address the issue of governance.

In his remark, Hon Udo Agoha stated that IMTA represents good governance, equity, justice and fairness.

He further stressed that IMTA has come to chart a new course of leadership that will emancipate and transform Ndi Imo noting that the past and present administrations have done their best but that more work still need to be done so as to realize the Imo of our dream.

Agoha pointed out that, transformation however begins with each and every member of the society stressing that for the society to be reformed, the citizenry has to be transformed and that IMTA is not farfetched from that.

In his speech, Comr S.N Anyanwu noted that there is need to instill developmental and transformational sensibilities in the minds of Ndi Imo and that IMTA is poised in actualizing the dream of a transformed and revitalized Imo.

He further added that a successful society is in the interest of all but the youths in particular pointing out that IMTA has come up with measures to address the problems of our society and the youths in particular knowing that the youths represent the strength of every nation.

Comr Anyanwu further stated that its high a time Ndi Imo should be liberated from the shackles of bad leadership noting that Ndi Imo have been subjected to abject and untold hardship which they do not deserve as a result of non people oriented policies imposed on the common man.

In his remark, former sole administrator of Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area Chief Leo Okeahialam noted that IMTA is committed to propel growth and development in all sphere of the economy.

He further added that Imolites should be optimistic in the course of Imo transformation assembly saying that IMTA cannot get it wrong considering the impressive high level of integrity of its members who are very enthusiastic to see that Imo is better.
