Allan B and Political Harlotry
Chief Allan B Onyemechi is a well known face in the entertainment industry in Imo State before he delved into politics. He is also a successful business man. However, Allan B’s political movements and calculations have not been accurate as his deft touches in business and entertainment made him alot of friends and followers.
A former member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Allan B was a former coordinator of Enyiato Development Centre, as well as former Transition Committee Chairman of Aboh Mbaise LGA. He achieved all these under PDP platform within the short time he spent in politics.
But the problem is that, Chief Onyemechi has cross-crossed nearly all the existing political parties in the land, as he dumps and joins parties at the drop of a Hat.
From PDP, he moved to Action Congress of Nigeria ACN, later he joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA. But popular side heard that the Aboh Mbaise born entertainment guru has been sacked by APGA: knowing Allan B’s penchant for dumping parties, this may be another opportunity to move on. So, which party is he heading to now?
Gutter Cleaning in Imo State
Now that the rain is setting in, those incharge have suddenly remembered that drainages in the state capital, Owerri need to be cleaned, especially the streets that are prone to flooding like those streets around Ikenegbu, Aladinma, Trans Egbu etc. However, what attracted the attention of Popular Side is how these drainages are full of dirts. Popular Side noticed that excavators are busy now throwing out the debris on the streets.
The problem is that these dirts will remain on the roads until the next rain washes them back into the gutters, and Government will yet again call the excavators for another “windfall”.
The question is, can’t those incharge evacuate the rubbish immediately they are removed from the gutters, instead of leaving them on the streets, waiting for rain to wash them back into the gutters. Is this a deliberate action to create job for the “boys”? FG has warned that this year’s flooding will be devastating, and Imo is among the states mentioned. Are the authorities listening?
Okorocha and Imo Rumour Mill
The former Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim once told journalists that the biggest factory in the state is rumour mongering.
His successor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has incurred the wrath of rumour mongers in the state after he had an accident last week.
While many people were worried about the well-being of the number one citizen following the accident that saw him with minor wounds on the head, the Imo rumour mills went to market and viral.
Some said he had no wound but only pretended with a bandage to garner sympathy from Imo populace over the barrage of knocks hitting his Government from EFCC arrests of his lieutenants.
Others said he wanted to use the decoy of going to hospital in London to “move loots” out of the state.
Yet another group believed the accident was stage-managed to attract attention that he is a Governor who drives himself to the appreciation of the masses.
Whatever is the correct story, popular side wishes Owelle Rachas Okorocha speedy recovery, and warns against carelessness by the convoy team. But, na wah for Imo people and rumour!
Has Jude Ejuogu (Chief of staff) resumed duty?
Despite the fact that Chief Jude Ejiogu has taken over as the new Chief of Staff to the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, a Bird whispered to Popular Side that the Emekuku born politician is still “floating”
Reason? It was learnt that although the former Chief of Staff, Prince Eze Madumere is now the new Deputy Governor, he still doubles as the Chief of staff, as Okorocha is finding it hard to do away with Madumere in that position, because he has been with him in that capacity for over a decade now.
Therefore, Jude Ejiogu is said to be only a Chief of Staff in name, and will continue to float until he gets frustrated.
Till date, Ejiogu it was learnt, has not summoned any meeting of his staff, and does not even know those under him, as they still pay homage to Madumere.
However, sources told Popular Side that soon Maumere will relocate to his office and official quarters, and Ejiogu can then settle down.
