Psychic Motivation according to findings  best strategy in appreciating and motivating employees for effective and efficient input and out put. In this vein a group Transformation Agenda Group (TAG) made up of Imolites who put in their resources in different areas to ensure the emergence of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 has tasked President Jonathan on the need to remember heroic and selfless contributions of Imo people during the last general election which enthroned him as the president and compensate the state adequately.

This clarion call to Mr. President was made by Imolites at a Business Roundtable meeting to discuss the “President’s Transformation Agenda and how Ndi Imo can benefit” organized by TAG at Rock  View Hotel Owerri. Most of the contributors decried the total isolation of the state in the distribution and sharing of the dividends of democracy as against the contributions of the state, during the 2011 general election pointing out that a minister for state does not quantify the  86% votes as the second best across the nation for him.

However, Prof. Obioma Iheduru, attributed the Isolation / marginalization as lack of patriotic connection and link with the president while submitting that there is need for equivalent compensation for the previous job done to enthrone Mr. President although pledged the continued support of Imo people to the president.

In his response, Alhaji A.A Gulak, the SA on Political Affairs to the president, represented by Chief Perry Okparuka head, Public Relations in the presidency, thanked the Organizers saying that the timing is good for the political survival of the state. Chief Opara went ahead to assure them that Mr. Presidents Transformation Agenda is for a better Nigeria where all citizens, states and geo-political zones will be treated equally with no sacred cow syndrome.

He also disclosed that the problem has persisted because no person or persons have been patriotic enough to meet with the president on a collective interest or compensation for the state in general, stressing that the president is aware of the contribution of the state and will be ready to reciprocate.

The forum constructively suggested the need to appoint a federal government Liason Officers to all the states in Nigeria to help monitor and report to the presidency the need and aspirations of the states. As well as also checkmate the excesses of state governors.
