IMSU Agog Over  SUG Election

As Imo State University, Owerri, holds its manifesto on Thursday 18th April, 2013, in preparation for the Students Union Government 4th Republic Election to be held on Friday, the University is agog as students especially those who are contesting for various positions in the SUG elections anticipate who are going to win the election.

The SUG positions, students are vying for are: President, Director of Welfare, Director of Socials, Senate, Director of Transport, Director of Information plus other positions that are contestable.

Three of the IMSU SUG contestants, comrade Christian Ogbu, AKA Great Enlightenment, who is vying for SUG President, Okafor Golden, AKA X-Busta, who is vying for Director of socials, and Comrade Akujor Michael, AKA AD, who is vying for Director of welfare said that when voted in “We shall use our every avenue within our proposal to make the cost of goods and services be easily affordable for our students on our Campus”.

Trumpeta understands that SUG election will hold on Friday after the manifesto.

Students of IMSU are suffering greatly as no proper arrangements for the provision of accommodation for the students have remained a mirage. Instead many live in squalid environments as excruciating condition has engulfed them.

9ija good people, good Students

Welcome to 9ija, where *** is free and love is very costly, where losing a phone is more painful than a University and Secondary School Student losing their virginity.

Where, if a male student lover doesn’t cheat on her female partner, he’s not SHARP and SMART,

Where Bathrooms in school hostels and dormitories have become photo studios,

Where students (especially the females) prefer getting Blackberry phones at all cost than securing a BSC degree, where male students “YAHOO boys” exhibit affluence as sign of brightr future than genuine hardworking graduates  who roam Nigerian streets in search of elusive jobs,

Campus gist now wishes to ask if the future of our under graduates are in the right track especially with the get rich quick syndrome and master minding of crisis and mayhem with the view of getting Amnesty that is fast becoming the order of the day? Please, let us help make 9ija a great nation.
