The sole Administrator of Oguta LGA, Hon. Chief Henry Igbomezie has held his maiden staff meeting and took a facility tour on Monday 25th March, 2013.
Addressing the general staff at the council hall, Chief Igbomezie promised to maintain a family style of governance, arguing that when a family is happy, the children (staff) father and the mother are happy with high productivity to show for it Chief Igbomezie insisted that he will implement the Rescue Mission Agenda of owelle Rochas Okorocha encapsulated in putting unity in any community with disunity, love wherever there is acrimony, security where there is none and massive grassroots developments to Justify the importance of community Government Council (C.G.C).
Earlier, Chief Igbomezie took a facility inspection tour to the Chairman’s quarters, SSS quarters, NYSC quarters and an office block being constructed. Responding, the Director of Administration and General Services (DAGS), Chief G.O.C Okwunma appealed to workers to always respect their dress codes while on duty especially during high profile functions in the council, insisting that defaulters could be sanctioned. He assured SOLAD of the staff total cooperation to enable him succeed.
In his vote of thanks, the Oguta NULGE branch chairman, comrade Polycarp Nwakuna promised Chief Igbomezie 100% commitment of staff to duly. He appealed to the Solad to employ security men and provide working tools to ease workers job.
Also, the new SOLAD led the staff for a clean up exercise in the council premises recently Hon. Chief Igbomezie has emphasized that the clean-up exercise will now hold periodically, pointing out that if such exercise was in place in the past, the fire from the bush that raged down the right wing of the chairman’s office would not have been.
