Irked by the ill manner a guest to the Imo State House of Assembly was arrested and whisked away by security operatives believed to be men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA propelled by the Imo Security Network, ISN, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security and head of the ISN, Okey Okorocha has been summoned by the state legislators.
The matter which came under state of urgent importance moved by the Majority Leader and member representing Ahiazu State constituency, Mrs Adaku Ihuoma saw members resolve that, the SA Security, Okorocha should within 24 hours report to the Assembly where he is expected to produce one Christopher Njoku, who came to the Assembly to defend a petition to the House.
Njoku, it was learnt was arrested and taken away by the suspected NDLEA officials in connivance with men of the Imo Security Network on his way out of the Assembly. The state lawmakers frowned at the action said to be premeditated by the ISN adding that the Speaker would have been alerted and informed before any arrest in the Assembly Complex.
The members frowned at the act noting that several complaints and negative reports have continued to trail activities of the ISN. The condemmed the act noting that after the ISN, the NDLEA would also be invited to explain reasons behind the action without first obtaining clearance and authority from the state assembly leadership before the arrest.
