The Community Speakers from Aboh Mbaise held a breakfast meeting with the member representing Aboh Mbaise state constituency in Imo House of Assembly and also the minority leader, Hon (Barr) Ngozi Pat – Ekeji, at recently. The Community Speakers leader, Barr Charles Akwuette, thanked Hon Pat – Ekeji for leaving her tight schedule of works to receive her people who are here to discuss on the way forward for Aboh Mbaise constituency. He said that the minority leader has liberated some political inclinations that had hitherto not found to be very operative in Aboh Mbaise. He said that Hon Ekeji is a clear bridge between the Men and women.
He also said that she embraces all as a mother not minding their different political parties and had for the first time in Aboh Mbaise, allowed free flow of ideas and management of finance in the Local Government. Barr Akwuette prayed for the meeting to hold always for development to last and requested that they befit in very more serious capacity because they will always remain outstanding in their service to the people.
Some of the Community Speakers including Chief Onu Emmanuel Ugwuojor of Anuzu – Nwe – Afor Autonomous Community and Mr Clement Nwachukwu from Amuzu Autonomous community among others, thanked the minority leader for her selfless service to her people and pledged their loyalty to her office even when they belong to other political parties.
Hon Pat – Ekeji in her reaction, thanked them for the visit and appreciated the fact that they voted for integrity and not political party. She reaffirm of her zeal to serve Aboh Mbaise and not any individual. Minority leader said that she believes in meritocracy and that made her to always choose the right candidate from Aboh Mbaise in serving Imo state. She also pleaded with them to inform her of any job opportunities so that their youths should always submit their Curriculum Vitae (CV) to her office. She informed them that the midwifery school rehabilitated by Governor Rochas would be functioning in the next one year with accreditation fully restored. Finally, she encouraged them to work with other members of the Community Government Council and cooperate with their Ezes and the elders of their various communities.
