“After the rain” they say “comes sunshine”. During the weekend, the uneasy water troubling the Imo state leadership of the Women for Change and Development Initiative (WCDI) was settled by the National Coordinator, Princess (Dr) Mrs Rabi Ibrahim during her one day working visit to Imo state.

Princess Rabi Ibrahim, who came through the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Owerri was received by thousands of W4C members. On her arrival at the airport, she thanked the women for their warm and over whelming reception and extended the goodwill of the founder of W4C, Dr (Mrs) Patience Goodluck Jonathan to Imo women.

She also told the mammoth crowd that the founder (Mrs Jonathan), the National Executive and National Working Committee recognize only the leadership of Chief (Mrs) Cheryl Amonu as the Imo State Coordinator and Liaison Officer. Princess Rabi Ibrahim who is an Imolite by birth and Zamfara by marriage urged all members in Imo to support Mrs Amonu in order to access all the benefits of the pet project of the Nigeria first lady.

Responding, Chief (Mrs) Amonu thanked the national coordinator and her entourage for visiting Imo women and assured them that the Imo state arm of the Women for Change and Development Initiative will be a reference point to others in the championing the vision and mission of the NGO.

On her own, the State Secretary, Mrs Nina Nwulu, assured the National Coordinator of the total support and loyalty of Imo Women to her leadership and to the founder, Dr (Mrs) Patience Jonathan.

It will be recalled that one Mrs Josephine Nnaoham (Madam Social) has been laying claim to the leadership of the Imo Chapter of the Women group, but was no where to be seen during the visit of the National Coordinator.
