Heads to Roll in Imo Exco .As Okorocha Moves after Agbaso’s Loyalists

Following the adamant stance of the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Sir Jude Agbaso that the law, transparency and due process must be followed to the letter in the plot to remove him from office, his Boss, and the Governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha is said to have adopted new tactics in the whole affair.

An impeccable source from the Douglas House Owerri told this Newspaper that Okorocha has resolved to also fight to finish, by first of all flushing out all those in the State Executive Council who came through Chief Martin and Jude Agbaso.

Imo Trumpeta learnt that Okorocha, who is presently on oversea trip, decided on the latest ploy, because Sir Jude Agbaso rather than “cool” the situation, is instead upping the ante by giving various interviews to press men, which seem to finger Okorocha in the JPros saga.

The source said that it was in the course of dragging the matter further by Jude Agbaso, that many quarters are beginning to question about who approved the N1.38B and ordered that such a stupendous sum be released to Joseph Dina, even before the job was done.

Therefore, in the course of targeting the Agbasos, the fate of most of appointees who are in the State Executive Council, but were nominated by them have had their names “penciled down” for “review” in a total Exco shake up to weed off “saboteurs”.

Among those now seen as black sheep in the administration are; Dr Obi-Njoku, said to be an uncle to the Agbasos, who is the Commissioner for Health, Mr Nick Oparandudu, the Commissioner for Works, who has made it openly clear that he remains loyal to Governor Rochas Okorocha, and has exhibited professionalism since he joined the executive.

His crime is that he hails from Emekuku, like the Agbasos. Another target is Mrs Ann Dozie, the Commissioner for Women Affairs. Her sin is that she is close to the Agbasos, and also is from Emekuku.

Marked also to go is the hard-working Chairman of Local Government Civil Service Commission, Chief Jude Ejiogu, for the simply reason that he is also a native of Emekuku. Already, the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Jude Agbaso, who is an Adviser to the First Lady, Mrs Ifeoma Okorocha may have stopped work since the crisis started.

Mr Onyema Opara, the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, who is an inlaw of the Agbasos is also penciled down for axing.

But many of those who spoke to Imo Trumpeta were against Owelle Okorocha moving against those who came into the Exco through the Agbasos, pointing out that most of them have since keyed into the “Rescue Mission” and may not have any other thing to do with those who nominated them.

“Why should Okorocha sack these people because they came through Martin Agbaso? How are you sure that they have not switched loyalty since being in the Exco? Barr Ambrose Nkwocha queried.

Meanwhile, another group said that since the Agbasos have decided to wage total war against Okorocha, no body should blame him also if he chose to fight back, no matter what method.
