Trumpeta Co-publisher, Mejuobi Gets Knights of St John PRO Position

 

The former Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, a Trumpeta Co-publisher and Director with Trumpetason Investment Concept Ltd, publishers of Imo Trumpeta Newspapers, Sir Kelechi Mejuobi (KSJ) has been appointed the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of Knights of St John Commandery 560, Izombe.

 

A seasoned journalist, public and media relations consultant, Mejuobi who was initiated into the order in 2010 at seat of Wisdom Seminary, Ulakwo by the new position is now a member of the Board of Trustees, BOT of the Commandery.

 

In an election held to usher in new executives this year, Major (Sir) Edwin Irechukwu emerged Worthy President while Noble Lt (Sir) H.O Duru, and Lt (Sir) Oliver Duru became 1st vice and 2nd vice president respectively.

 

Others elected include Lt (Sir) Gregory Opara, Recording/Correspondent Secretary, Noble Sir JC Ogbonna (Fin Sec), Capt Sir M.C. Onwubie (Treasurer), Capt (Sir) H.O.C. Nwaribe 1st Trustee, Grand Delegate, Sir B.C Uchegbu (2nd Trustee), Sir Albertus Emerenini (3rd Trustee) and Sir Chukwuma Osuebi (Supreme Delegate).

 

According to Holy Family Commandery # 560, Izombe, Gazette No. February 16th 2013, those incharge of the Ancient Order in the Commandery, Sir Ifeanyi Nwaigwe, Judge Advocate, Capt (Sir) Fidelis Ossai, Local Commander and Lt (Sir) L.C. Egwuagu cadet organizer.

 

In his acceptance speech, the new Worthy President, Major Irechukwu noted that his emergence was a divine mandate to re-engineer and re-juvenate the commandery for spiritual and welfare upliftment in line with the Catholic belief and teachings.

 

While soliciting the support of the Members, the Worthy President promised to take the Commandery to the next level promising to do his best for God, society and mankind. The election was witnessed and supervised by the Spiritual Director of the Commandery, Rev Fr Dr Raymond Okoroigbo.
