Man in Police Net Over Rapping of 13-Year-Old Girl

The Imo State Police Command has arrested one Hon. John Iwuala, a native of Ezihitte Mbaise Council area of Imo State who is said to have allegedly rapped a thirteen year old girl.

 

Briefing Newsmen yesterday at the police command Owerri, the State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Musa Katsina narrated that the 41 year old suspected rapist disguised himself as a philanthropist representing a very popular NG o foundation in Nigeria claiming to have mandate to scout for children of poor parental background in order to sponsor their education.

 

According to the commissioner, the parents of the victim were convinced after meeting with the suspect through which the said suspect took the little girl to his office to conclude the necessary formalities and it was in that process he diverted her to a Hotel (name withheld) where he unlawfully imprisoned or confined the little girl, intimidated and subdued her to submission before he had forceful intercourse with her.

 

Meanwhile, the police in its bid to campaign against crimes and criminals in Imo State have also paraded a man dressed in a camouflage Army Uniform carrying about 53 bags of 40kg Indian hemp.

 

The police commissioner further told Newsmen that, men of the Ambush squad of the command intercepted a Nissan Pathfinder Jeep black in colour along Ohaji road with Fake registration number LU-366 ABJ being driven by one Fabian Enudi ‘m’ aged 37 years who is a native of Abbi village in Abraka Ndokwa West LGA of Delta State and resides at 34 mission road, Abbi via Abraka. He said that in cause of searching the vehicle, total numbers of 53 bags of 40kg Indian hemp (cannabis sativa) were discovered.

 

According to him, the suspected Indian hemp dealer who dressed in Army uniform is neither an Army Officer nor Officer of any of the security agencies.
