The Agenda Youth Leader for Nkwere LGA of Imo State, Hon. George Nwaneri has stated that Governor Rochas Okorochas has performed excellently in the last two years of since he assumed office as Imo Governor.
Hon. Nwaneri stated, this at the weekend, while reacting to the comments credited to Imo Youth Assembly, about the alleged non-performance of the Owelle Rochas Okorocha administration.
The Imo Youth Assembly had on Tuesday reportedly featured on the popular radio programme of Hot. 99.5 FM Owerri (Peoples Assembly) where it submitted that Governor Okorocha has failed to carry the youths along in his government.
The Agenda Leader criticized the leader of the group, Dr. Harold Onumo, stressing that he has no capacity to score Okorocha government low.
He further added that the Imo Youth Assembly is made up of youths who are bereft of knowledge and advised them to be wise, as not to get into trouble.
On the performance of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hon. Nwaneri maintained that Commissioner, Comrade Knneth Emelu has performed well and should be commended, stressing that Heartland FC of Owerri has won so many laurels under Emelu’s supervision.
He further stated that constant attacks on the state government is unnecessary is uncalled for.
Hon. Nwaneri also noted that the recent recruitment of teachers into the state’s school system by his administration were predominantly youths, adding that over 3000 indigenes of Imo State also employed by Imo Palm plantation.
He also pointed out that over 108 Youths of Imo State got employed as NEPAD coordinators in the 27 LGA’s adding that the Imo Security Network harbours more than 1000 Youths as Officers.
