Opponents of Heartland Football Club of Owerri in this weekends Confederation Cup encounter, US Bitam of Gabon will arrive Nigeria today Thursday March 14.
Information reaching Imo Trumpeta Sports desk those reveal that a 38 man team contingent is expected to arrive Abuja International airport were they will be airlifted to Owerri sameday.
According to our source, the Garbonese contingent is expected to arrive in two batches. The first batch which will be made up of the players, technical crew and some team of officials will touch down in Nigeria today. While the second batch comprising the clubs president, other officials and some of their fans will be arriving later.
Meanwhile, the management of the Naze millionaires have concluded arrangements to keep their opponents in one of the five star Hotels in the City which further buttresses the fact that Imo State especially Owerri is a hospitable place.
In a related development, the media officer of Heartland Fc, Mr. Cajethan Nkwopara also stated that the team on Tuesday moved into close camping exercise in other to allow the players and the technicalcrew have a full concentration for the encounter slated for the newly refurbished Dan Anyiam stadium, Owerri.
It would be recalled that the Federation Cup Champions last Saturday lost their league opener against debutants, Nembe City from Bayelsa State 1- 2 .
