A two day Seminar tagged “The First International Moral Seminar “ aimed at reducing prostitution, financial racketeering, drug abuse and its deleterious effect on users was officially opened by HRM Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri , (Chairman Imo state Council Of Traditional Rulers) at the high convention centre Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Eze Ohiri in his lecture “Restoring the known Igbo norms and culture” reminded the students to always remember where they come from, adding that each and every one of them are ambassadors to their country(ies) and also, he encouraged them to embrace their studies and shun moral vices.
A lecture delivered by RT. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha titled “Students Living a Crime Free Life In Diaspora”; he advice the students to stay away from criminal related activities, adding that the Federal Government is looking into the maltreatments of Nigerians in foreign lands and urged the students to come back home after their studies in other to help in the growth and development of their state and the country.
(AMB) Nonye Rajis Opara (Nigerian Ambassador to Singapore) said Nigerians in Malaysia should indulge in meaningful and crime free enterprise in order to portray the good image of Nigeria, she also, praised NAISS (National Association of Imo State Students) for been crime and corruption free in Asia.
Earlier, the Chief host (AMB) Shehu Bello Ringim applauded the students and NAISS and pledged his fatherly support, meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ananthan Krishnan (Former Minister for Health Malaysia) enlightened the students about the genetic of India, pointing out that India Originated from Africa. He also warned the student about unprotected sex adding that there is no known cure for Aids.
The president NAISS Malaysia, Comrade Ehirim Bright Prince thanked all the dignitaries for their support and promised not to let them down. He also sent his regard to the ambassador Shehu Ringim Bello on his fatherly support and love, he thanked all members of diplomatic corps in attendance and Imo welfare.
In a vote of thanks, the Ambassador of Nigerian Students in Diaspora, Board of Trustee Chairman of Mbaise Students and NAISS National Director of welfare, Amb. Comrade David O.C. Nwaogwugwu thanked the participant and also wished them a safe journey to their various destinations.
Other Dignitaries present are; Hon. Prof. Mrs. Viola Adaku Onwuliri,(Minister For Foreign Affairs), Hon. Chief Longers Anyanwu,(SSA to Nigerian President on NDDC), Pritam Doal Sing, Esq. (Senior Advocate Of Malaysia), GRP. Capt. Remigus Ekeh, HRH Eze Raphael Ikegwuruka, (Paramount Ruler Of Mgbirichi) and host of other top Government official.
