The Appeal Committee of the Nigerian football federation that met on the 24th of April 2012 has taken its stand on the appeal made by the victimized Premier League referees regarding theNigeria Premier League match played in Bauchi, 2011 between Lobi Stars football Club, Markurdi and Sunshine Stars International football club, Akure.
According to reports of the committee signed by the chairman of the committee Bar. Ibrahim Eddy Mark, the chairman in his capacity waived the payment of five hundred thousand naira (N500, 000) only, each Appeals fee for Mr chrisantus Okoro (Imo) and C.I.D Durunna (Abia).
It further stated that the appeal by Chrisantus Okoro and C.I.D Durunna succeeds in view of the decision of the appeals committee on 2nd April, 2012.
This decision like that of the 2nd April, 2012 is still without prejudice to the outcome or the investigation by the law enforcement agencies.
It would be recalled that the O and D committee had banned the said referees for 5 years which was later over turned after their appeal.
