Residents of Marere Street, in Agbor part of Delta State, South South Nigeria are vigorously searching for one of the youths in the area, named Iduhor Solomon.
Reasons for the manhunt may not be unconnected to alleged practices of gay he and another man, simply known as John are involved in.
Our reporter who observed that the said John has been beaten to death by angry mob in Marere Street of Agbor is looking out for Iduhor Solomon said to have escaped death by whiskers after the two suspected homosexuals were apprehended by the mob for the gay atrocities.
This newspaper got information that both Iduhor Solomon and John had been having same sex practice before the former escaped to abroad through the Mediterranean sea to Italy. It was learnt that when neighbours noticed the two young men playing romantic games as lovers, alarm was raised in the area about the practice known as a taboo. To avoid the wrath of the public, Iduhor Solomon escaped unnoticed through the sea to Italy in 2016. But when it appeared the coast had been cleared after initial antagonism by the people of the area following laws enacted by government against gay practice, Iduhor Solomon returned from Italy in 2020 to reunite with his male lover known as John who he continued the illicit act with in 2021.
Angered residents of the area who are not comfortable with the two love birds resuming gay practice on Marere Street, Agbor, swooped on them and in the process got hold of the two homosexuals.
The incident happened on October 11th at No 25 Marere Street, Agbor. Since it was an outlaw in Nigeria, they aggrieved residents beat John to a state of unconsciousness before he gave up the ghost but Iduhor Solomon was rather lucky as he managed to escape.
Efforts to get Iduhor Solomon proved abortive but the Marere residents have commenced manhunt search to get him so as to also beat him to death same way his love partner was killed.
Residents of the area view same sex practice as abomination act those involved are mobbed to death.
As at the time of this report, the whereabouts of Iduhor Solomon cannot be ascertained as family members do not even know where he escaped to.
