Desire Oparanozie Advises Youths On Balancing Sports & Personal Life For Success

A former Super Falcons attacker, Desire Oparanozie, has advised youths to balance sporting activities and personal life to achieve success.

Oparanozie gave the advice at an sensitisation on sporting activities for secondary school students organized by the Desire Oparanozie Foundation, a Non Governmental Organisation, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Nigeria, in Owerri, on Wednesday.

The programme was tagged: “Sporting Activities for Schools – Paris 2024”.

Oparanozie said that the programme was part of efforts by her foundation aimed at growing sports in secondary and pre tertiary schools in Imo.

She said that the programme was intended to enrich the social intellect of secondary schools students and  prepare them for future tasks.

“ Young people must balance sports and personal life and diversify through skill acquisition which is essential for survival.

“ Youths should stay adaptable and open to new opportunities while prioritising education and personal development, despite their challenges “, she said.

Speaking, the Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria in Imo, Mr Cosmos Chukwuemeka, urged youths to keep abreast of historical events and continue to enrich their storehouse of knowledge through education.

He thanked the foundation for thinking toward Imo and expressed the association’s commitment to healthy partnerships for holistic sports development.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of papers by resource persons and the exhibition of the French ‘cuisine’ (kitchen/delicacies) as well as language and cultural exhibitions.
