ISOPADEC Boss Counsels Youths

 

The chairman, Imo state oil producing areas development commission [ISOPADEC], Rev. Emma Ebomuche has urged students to take their studies serious in order to succeed.

Rev Emma Ebomuche, Spoke when a group of students under the umbrella of ISOPADEC Student Association paid him a courtesy call in Owerri.

Rev Ebomuche urged the students not to look upon their background because most of the successful people on earth had humble beginnings but had risen to fame because of hard work.

He however charged them to be around the right people, since it is the only way they can succeed, citing that a bad role model will surely lead them to destruction.

“There are lots of people who achieved great feat in their youths and you will not be an exception. All you have to do is be at the right place at the right time, do the right thing at the right time and God will surely see you through” Rev Ebomuche concluded.

Speaking to newsmen , the president of the association Comrade Chukwuka Chukwuma (ISOPADEC ambassador), said that the aim of the visit was to familiarize with the ISOPADEC chairman, who he described an honest man who is always willing to listen to the youths.

He also added that the visit was in line with the motto of the association which is ‘Advocating for youth empowerment’, which will enable them find a way to make the dividends of the oil taken from their lands reach them the way it ought to be

“ISOPADEC Student Association was formed to protect the interests of the students from the oil producing regions of the state and we are not going to stop in the movement until our youths are empowered the way they ought to be” Chukwuma added.

The visit had leaders of the association from all tertiary institutions in Imo State as well as the central executive which include the secretary, Comrade Ezezieofor Chimelazar; the vice president Comrade Nwabor Anslem, amongst others.
