Stakeholders of Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area in Imo State have condemned in totality the suspension letter which was signed and given to the immediate past Sole Administrator of the Local Government Area, Hon Dr Chukwuma Ojukwu by the party LGA Chairman, Hon Mark Adindu.

The Stakeholders also condemned the write ups in the publication of Wednesday January 31st 2024 edition of  Newspoint with special caption which says, “EZINIHITTE LGA APC SUSPEND FORMER SOLAD OJUKWU FOR ANTI PARTY ACTIVITIES”.

The Stakeholders described the publication and the suspension letter as a calculated attempt to ridicle the image and rising profile of the immediate past SOLAD who the stakeholders described as the best among equals.

According to them, the immediate past SOLAD Hon Chukwuma Ojukwu PhD within a year and four months he stayed in the office recorded giant strides with the multiple developmental projects that  executed in Ezinihitte LGA coupled with unity he brought in the Area.

One of the Stakeholders of Ezinihitte LGA, Chief Ezechukwu Ogbonna who spoke to our reporter in Mbaise described the LGA APC Chairman Adindu as a vindictive man, adding that the Chairman is making illicit plans to bring down and ridicle the image of the immediate past SOLAD,  Ojukwu who is seen by many as the most performed among the 27 SOLADs of Imo State.

Chief Ezechukwu hinted that Adindu and his gang planned to bring all political powers and dividends of democracy to his place Ezi-Central with the support of Leaders from that political block group.

“He do not want the good name and commendations people are given to the immediate past SOLAD Ojukwu to continue even when Ojukwu received Special Merit award by Abuja APC last December, he never congratulated him the Leaders of Ezinihitte men and women including youths have insisted that Ojukwu lived up to the expectations of entire Ezinihitte people and should be allowed to succeed himself as Executive Chairman. He is our choice” Ezinihitte people submitted.

Speaking further, Chief Ezechukwu regretted why the party chairman should sanction the SOLAD just because he called a statutory meeting which was directed by the Governor of Imo State.

Report has it that after the November 11, 2023 Imo guber election, the Sole Administrators were directed by Government House to hold stakeholders meeting in their area.

Chukwuma  Ojukwu called his own meeting and the Stakeholders of Ezinihitte attended and in that meeting, the Agenda mentioned include grading of inter connectivity roads, rehabilitation of Health centres and security. These issues were perfectly deliberated upon by the Stakeholders who attended the meeting, as we gathered from a reliable source.

During A.O.B some Stakeholders raised motion on the 2km road which according to them was funded by the Governor and the project was said to be abandoned.

They also raised the issue of guber campaign fund in which money released was not used according to the template directive.

The SOLAD with other 5 people were querried on this issue. The House then demanded that Ojukwu and 5 others should make sure that they give account of the 2km road which supposed to have been tared  in Ezinihitte.

They also demanded for the explanation on the handling of electoral funds that were released for logistics. The date for the submission of all the reports as we gathered was 20th of December 2023.

Information revealed that the party chairman Adindu never wanted the meeting to hold in the first place.

When contacted Dr Ojukwu explained that Hon Adindu is punishing him because of that statutory meeting that he held with Stakeholders. He told our reporters that Hon Adindu and his gang tagged the meeting anti party.

Further information revealed that the party chairman took the matter to State Party office and State Party Chairman, Hon Dr Macdonald Ebere is still handling the matter.

The funny thing as we also gathered that the LGA Party Chairman Hon Adindu did not wait for the outcome of his report before taking  his decision to suspend the SOLAD.

When Trumpeta contacted Adindu, he said he has nothing to say on the matter since he did not know whom he was speaking with.
