Anxiety in Imo Govt House As Uzodinma Set To Dissolve Cabinet Before Inauguration

Few days to Governor Hope Uzodinma’s second term swearing-in ceremony in Imo State, on January 15, 2024,   serious panic and anxiety are said to have gripped the numerous appointees of the State Government.

Our source revealed that the State Governor, Dist, Senator Hope Uzodinma will dissolve his first term State Executive Council EXCO   shortly before or  after his swearing- in with his new Deputy Governor on Monday 15th of January 2024.

Trumpeta  also learnt that in his new Government, Uzodinma will give more  positions to PDP Decampees than the original APC members this time.

The present Commissioners, Special Advisers and other political appointees from all indications have started rounding off in their various offices. Many have already presented their score cards for public scrutiny.

We also gathered that one of the Commissioners resigned his appointment for reasons best known to him.

Our roving reporter further gathered that good number of the present appointees have began to lobby for continuity in office. The desperate appointees according to information have turned governor’s family house to pilgrimage ground. They now meet with relatives and close friends of the Governor for help so that they could be reappointed in office.

The latest information available to our news desk revealed that many number of the Commissioners did not do well in office and for that will not come back.

We were told also that the Governor will be careful in appointing his new cabinet members after the desolution.

The Permanent Secretaries in the various Ministries in the State we gathered will act as Commissioners now until Governor Hope Uzodinma to settles down properly before appointing the new Commissioners and Special Advisers. The Sole Administrators of Local Government Areas will also get sack letters any moment from now.
