The Imo state Sports Commission Chairman, Prince Sir Eleazar Onyewuchi Ogbonna “Ambassador”has harped on the need to properly harness the raw talents in our local communities.
The former international footballer cum business mogul and philanthropist expressed this during the final of 2023 Obinze Unity Cup saying that football is now a global business but that it has to be properly organized like the Brazilians, the Argentines and Europeans for our talented youths to get empowered through it.
While reiterating his administration’s zeal and that of His Excellency, the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma to ensure that the Shared Prosperity mantra is enshrined in the sports sector, Prince Ogbonna however urged the youths of Imo especially those engaged in sports to always shun cultism, drugs and other social vices so they can focus on their career for success
The Finest Sports Crew comprising , Cosmos Chukwuemeka of Darling FM, Faith Oluchi (Media Officer of National U-17 Female team) and Orji Sampson Nwaokike (Editor Trumpeta Newspaper & Enyimba Media) joined the Sports Commission Boss @ Obinze in Owerri West LGA with Imo State Sports Commission Chairman to see the final of the 2023 Obinze Unity Cup as Umueje Village locked horns with Obokwu Village in the final this day January 6th, 2024 @ Baptist Primary School field, Obinze.
Umueje emerged Champions with slim 1-0 victory after a keenly contested battle!
