The two federal constituencies of Ideato North and Ideato south of Imo State that makeup Ideato Nation was Tuesday November 8, 2023 brought to a standstill when JohnPaul Ochemba entered All Progressives Congrats (APC) governorship rally.
Ochemba who was accompanied by over 1000 youths from the two Federal constituencies changed the narrative of the rally. The rally which took place at Urualla. the Local Government Headquarter of Ideato North, was graced by both APC faithfuls and opposition members.
Our correspondent who spoke to some of the youths and elders at the rally said that they were at the occasion as a result of Ochemba’s benevolence to the people of Ideato Nation.
“Ochemba had rescued some of us at the time of need. He had in past and present paid the school fees of some of our children. To say the least, he had at several occasions built houses for indigent women in our society. He had done a lot for us and where ever he directs us to cast our votes on November 11 governorship, we will not hesitate to do so. “
Addressing the mammoth crowd , the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma who is the APC governorship candidate expressed gratitude to the people of Ideato Nation for their unalloyed support in the last three and half years in office.
He therefore, urged them to. re-elect him for another four years to enable him to complete the good works he started.
He disclosed that contract would be awarded to Okwelle/Isiekenesi/Ntueke/Urualla Road after the governorship election.
“Work would have commence of the road if not that this week is election period, everybody is in the field canvassing for votes.”
In his remarks, Ochemba charged the youths in the two federal constituencies to ensure that their parents and associates cast their votes to APC on November 11 gubernatorial election.
He pleaded with them to be orderly, “ensure that you people come out enmass and vote for Governor Hope Uzodimma for his re-election bid. The governor had done well and we must urged him to continue the good works he had started. “
Some of the stakeholders who attended the rally include Sir Eze Duruihoma, (SAN), APC House of Representative candidate for Ideato North and Idea to South federal constituency, Chika Abazu , the sole administrators of the two government councils among others.
