The Mbaoma autonomous Community in Owerri North, comprising Uba, Umuawuka, Emeoghe villages, have formally presented Chief Obinna Charles Amadi as another of her Eze-elect to the SOLAD.
Recently, the people of Mbaoma autonomous Community, carved out from the old Emii autonomous community, were all in a festive mood garnished with traditional fanfare, as they stormed Orie Uratta the LGA Hqts and joyfully presented Chief O.C. Amadi as an Eze-elect, to the delight of the officials of the Council who were on hand to receive them.
According to the PG Mbaoma Federated, Dr E. K. Ishiguzo while formally presenting the Eze-elect, said the people wanted him because of his philanthropy which had touched all segments of the Community.
He recalled how the Eze-elect, a former leader of the Council in Owerri North LGA, had installed an electric transformer unit for Eziala village as well as sponsored the proposal to NNDC for the construction of projects in Emii axis in the 2023 budget.
Others who spoke to support the choice of Chief Amadi were Nze Chief A N Achu(Pillar of Mbaoma), Oha Boniface Njoku and Mr Jonathan Njoku(National Sec Mbaoma Federated)
Receiving the Eze-elect, the SOLAD, Chief Sir Tony Umezuruike congratulated the nominee and expressed delight that the Ezeship election had been free and fair adding that his duty was to receive and accept any candidate and then forward details of such candidate to the appropriate quarters.
Also speaking, the Director of Administration and General Services(DAGS), Sir Barr Emeka Oduah thanked the Mbaoma people for their peaceful disposition while making their choices thereby making his job easy especially in the area of coming along with all necessary documents.
Sir Emeka assured them that within few days he would forward the papers to the appropriate quarters.
The Eze-elect Chief Obinna Charles Amadi who is from Eziala, Mbaoma, Owerri North LGA is an astute businessman and the CEO of Obikings International business concern who had also attracted the siting of an estate to Emii Community Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria situated at Eziala Ezimba Emii.
Chief Amadi is a fulfilled family man and loves peace.
