Ahead AFL League, Enyimba Welcomes Pitch Inspectors @ ‘Nest Of Champions’, Uyo

As Africa continues awaits the commencement of the maiden edition of African Football League AFL, one of the elite clubs billed to participate in the money spinning competition, Enyimba Int’l FC of Aba on Tuesday welcomed the AFL Pitch Inspector in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Speaking to Enyimba media shortly after taking the AFL inspector round the Godswill Akpabio Int’l Stadium “Nest Of Champions” in Uyo along side the stadium officials, Enyimba Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme said the exercise is part of the requirements expected of the participating teams for the final lap of inspections in this inaugural AFL league.

He said Enyimba FC management team under the leadership of Kanu Papilo Nwankwo “FIFA Ambassador” on their part has been working round the clock with necessary quarters to ensure the 9 time NPFL Champions posts a good outing in the competition and compensate thier teeming fans after their disappointing ouster from the CAF Champions League.

Enyimba FC (Nigeria), Al Ahly (Egypt), Simba SC (Tanzania), Wydad AC  (Morocco), TP Mozambe (DRC), Esperance (Tunisia), Athletico Petreos (Angola) and Memolodi Sundowns (South Africa) will enter the competition at the quarter finals on home and away basis to determine who progresses to the next stage with the teams guaranteed of mouth watering sums.

The People’s Elephant will take Wydad AC of Morocco later next month at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo in the first leg of the quarter final rounds.
