Ikukuoma FC Gets European Boost, As Club Signs MoU With KF Liria Prizren Of Kosovo 

..Partnership To Attract Professional Deals For Players

In line with its dedicated passion to give the players of Ikukuoma Football Club of Mbaise a better future through soccer, the President of the Club, High Chief (Dr) Summers VC Nwokie “Ikukuoma Mbaise” has sealed a deal with a First Division Club in Kosovo, with the view of exporting our talented players from Nigeria to Europe for professional Development and possible transfer to notable clubs in Europe.

In a brief ceremony to seal the pact, the two parties officially put pen to paper on Thursday August 7th, 2023 at the Country home of the Founder of Ikukuoma Sports Development Foundation who also doubles as the President of Ikukuoma FC.

Briefing newsmen at the event, the unassuming President and Founder of Ikukuoma Sports Development Foundation, High Chief Summers V.C Nwokie (Ph.D) highlighted his desire for youth development using football as an effective and formidable tool.

He stated that his passion for youth development spurred him to enter into this partnership with the professional Division 1 outfit in Kosovo so as to ensure that Ikukuoma FC players becomes world class and professional players.

In his words; “My Vision is to give them hope and future through football.

Reacting, the Vice President of KF LIRIA PRIZREN OF KOSOVO, Mr Ahmet Arslan who was present at the signing of the MoU stated that the Partnership was born out of their conviction that Ikukuoma FC has promising, young and skillful players.

He further stated that they took the decision having studied the achievements of Ikukuoma FC within the short period of it’s existence. He therefore concluded that for them as a club, Ikukuoma FC Camp shall hence forth serve as their Centre for the Development of Players here in Nigeria for future transfers to their Clubs in Kosovo, Turkey and Spain.

The Director General of Ikukuoma Sports Development Foundation, Comr Nnaji Julius in appreciation thanked all who made the partnership possible and assured that on behalf of the Foundation and it’s crew that they will be the support of their Founder to keep making sure that Destinies of the Youths are nurtured to greatness. He further stated that their hosting of the maiden edition of NLO/IKUKUOMA SUPER LEAGUE 2023  is a pointer to good things the foundation has in stock for our Nation and the world at larger.

Present at the signing of the MoU includs; Mr Olusola Ogunnowo, Chief Innocent Onugu, Mr. Chuks Dike (Team Manager, Ikukuoma FC) and Miss Derya Sar.
