Officials and players of Sao Tome and Principe on Thursday arrived Uyo, Akwa Ibom capital, for Sundays’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The True Patriots arrived at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo around 11:50 a.m.
Twenty-one players, Coaches and officials of the Sao Tome and Principe Football Federation made the trip.
The players and the officials quickly moved to their hotel after completing airport checks and were be expected to have their training session later in the evening as at the time of filing this report.
Sao Tome and Principe will take on the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday.
The True Patriots occupy the bottom spot in Group A and will be playing for pride.
They were battered 10-0 by the Super Eagles in the reverse fixture.
