A former Special Adviser SA to Governor Hope Uzodimma and former member of Imo State House of Assembly, Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu has lambasted the member representing Ideato federal Constituency in the House of representatives, Hon Ikenga Ugochinyere for his continued attacks and blackmail on Governor Uzodimma. Hon Amajirionwu while reacting to heaps of allegations levelled against the Governor by Ikenga Ugochinyere, described him as a rabble rouser who perches around seeking undue attention.
Ikenga has accused Governor Uzodimma of being behind the rising insecurity in the State and called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be wary of him.
According Amajirionwu, Ikenga Ugochinyere has no other job rather than sycophancy and blackmail and warned him to desist from his continued attacks on the Governor. “It is unpalatable to the ear that Ikenga would accuse the Governor of stoking the flame of insecurity in the State when we are aware that the amber of insecurity in the State is being fanned by the opposition. We are aware that Ikenga is only seeking for attention when he is fully aware that Governor Uzodimma is a victim of systemic and sponsored insecurity in the State. Governor Uzodimma has sacrificed immensely in bringing the state of insecurity in the State under control which of course has been duly acknowledged by majority of citizens” he said.
Hon Amajirionwu added that “Governor Uzodimma has continued to show pragmatic and leadership commitment through adequate engagement and deployment of State resources in tackling the menace of insecurity in the State head-on”.
He further called on the Governor to remain focused and not to be distracted by the wobbling and sycophancy of Ugochinyere.
“I am using this opportunity to call on Ikenga Ugochinyere to order and advise him to face his responsibility rather than looking for whom to blackmail. “He should not take Governor Uzodimma’s silence as act of cowardice ” Amajirionwu declared.
