Imo School Principal In Trouble For Locking Up Female Students Over Missing Necklace

Disciplinary sledge hammer may fall on one of the Secondary School Principals in Owerri North Local Government Area, Imo State for allegedly locking up WAEC Examination student inside office for several hours over a missing necklace belonging to one of the Imo University students who registered in the secondary school to take WAEC Exams as external student.

Information revealed that the IMSU student who registered as external candidate paid heavily. As the 2023 senior WAEC Exams continued, she comes to school putting on different kinds of chains and necklaces.

The student who is being reported to be a relation to the Principal in question last week claimed that her necklace was missing and because of her closeness to the female principal all the students were locked up and a search for the missing necklace was conducted and at the end of the search nothing was found. The Principal therefore ordered that all the students will pay N200 in order to be free. Many were said to have paid at few student rebelled against the payment insisting that they did not steal any necklace.

At this point the aggrieved students resolved to riot against Principal, many sent message to their parents over the action of the Principal on them.

On noticing that students wanted to go on rampage, she quickly opened the office door and they all ran away but their parents insisted that the Principal of the school and the IMSU students should be properly investigated and punished according for false accusation.
